Concept & Direction
This experimental project explores how packaging can transform the perceived value of an everyday object. Using a pair of thrifted martini glasses as the starting point, the concept focused on elevating a low-cost item into a premium product through a carefully considered unboxing experience.
The direction combined a sense of luxury with playful and unexpected elements, drawing inspiration from the glass form itself. The twisting stem informed the initial structural concept, while the visual identity introduced a retro-influenced palette and refined typography to enhance the product’s elevated positioning.
Execution & Outcome
The project was developed through a experimental design process, moving from complex structural ideas toward a more resolved and functional packaging solution. A physical prototype was produced, refining the construction into a stable pentagon form with an integrated opening mechanism that balances usability with a exciting user experience. Sustainability was considered through simplification of materials and structure.
The final outcome demonstrates how thoughtful packaging design can redefine an object’s value. By combining structure, interaction, and visual identity, this creates a cohesive experience that enhances both the product presentation and its perceived quality.
